		<description>Hello Gary. I&#039;m a long-time reader. I&#039;m delurking b/c I wanted to let you know that I think the lead photo of the girl on the stage is very compelling. You&#039;ve captured a real moment. A combination of the empty chairs behind her so the viewer can sense the import of her being alone on the stage ... her hand tucked casually in her pocket but how she&#039;s holding her shoulders and the look on her face show slight discomfort ... the way the microphone cord frames the bottom of the photo, and leads the viewer out of the shot, where possibly the others are who are judging the spelling bee ... all these elements come together and create a compelling photo for me.
